If you have watched Tamil film Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, you will not forget Bane Singh, the dacoit whom police officer Theeran pursues, a potential lead to find dacoit leader Oma. And when Theeran does eventually track him inside a moving bus, Bane Singh gives him the slip and climbs out of the bus window to the roof top. The action sequence on top of the bus is one of the highlights of this police story.

When the film released last week, Bollywood actor Rohit Pathak switched off his mobile phone. He was nervous about hearing negative reviews. But the reviews have been anything but negative. Pathak’s performance as Bane Singh is being appreciated.

This is Pathak’s debut film in Tamil cinema and he calls it a memorable experience. Much impressed with the discipline and organised work of the Tamil industry, Pathak said that producers Dream Warrior Pictures made him feel comfortable in the new setting. And he can’t stop talking about director Vinod and co-actor Karthi. “Working with a star like Karthi was splendid. He is a perfect gentleman. We discussed many things,” said Pathak.

The bus scene was filmed over ten days. Pathak is grateful to stunt master Dilip Subbarayan who guided him on the stunt movements while ensuring his safety, too.

Praising director Vinod for his passion and commitment, Pathak noticed that Vinod was the first to arrive on the sets always.

Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru is now playing in UAE cinemas.
