Director Jyoti Krishna is juggling between Tamil and Telugu cinema.

Son of noted producer AM Rathnam, Krishna has the distinction of making his debut as a story writer at the age of 17 for Tamil film, Natpukaga, directed by KS Ravikumar.

At 20, he directed his first Tamil-Telugu bilingual, Ennakku 20 Unaku 18, followed by Kedi, another Tamil film. Then he made his acting debut in 2012 with his next Tamil film, Ooh La la, which he also directed.

Krishna is back in Telugu with Oxygen. an action story.

With an ensemble cast that includes Gopichand, Anu Emanuel, Raashi Khanna, Jagapathi Babu, Shaam, Sayaji Shinde and Abhimanyu, Oxygen is a suspense drama centred around a large family. Without revealing much, Krishna said that Gopichand has three looks in the story. “This role will take his career to the next level,” he said.

Malayalam actress Anu Emmanuel is paired opposite him. She plays Geetha, a vivacious young woman.

Look out for action sequences choreographed by Indian National Award-winner Peter Heine and Stunt Silva.

“The interval block will leave viewers stunned,” said Krishna.

Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed music. Vetri and Chota K Naidu are the two DOPs.

Oxygen is now playing in UAE cinemas.
