New films Odiyan, featuring actor Mohanlal, and Aadhi, featuring his 26-year-old son Pranav in the lead role, were launched at a grand event in India.
The event was attended by people from political and film circles.
Mohanlal’s film is being directed by V.A. Sreekumar Menon, while his son’s film is directed by Jeethu Joseph, under whom Pranav worked as an assistant director.
“After hearing all the speeches about the films of my son and mine, for the first time in my life, I feel I am getting tensed,” said Mohanlal, while Pranav preferred to remain silent.
Pranav has acted in films before as a child. He won the 2002 Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist for his role in the film Punarjani, directed by Major Ravi.
