Movie is set in a coastal fishing village and focuses on a family deal with loss

Angamaly Diaries director Lijo Jose Pellisery is ready with his next film titled Ee Ma You. It’s an acronym of Eeshow Mariyam Ouseppu, which is often written on tombstones and funeral cards — the Malayalam version of RIP.
Written by PF Mathews, Ee Ma You is set in a coastal fishing village and focuses on a family deal with loss.
“It’s an intense film that I have explored and covers the situation from the time of demise to the time of burial,” Pellisery said.
Chemban Vinod Jose plays the character who has lost his father. Dileesh Pothan plays a vicar and Vinayakan plays a supporting role as Jose’s friend.
But it is not only about the sorrow of a grieving family.
“It offers a 360 degree of the funeral with satire that is not loud or exaggerated,” added Pellisery. The film was shot in Chellanam.
Ee Ma You releases in Kerala on December 1.
