Come Deepavali and it’s going to rock at the box office in Tamil Nadu.
Two big films, Kodi and Kaashmora, are clashing at theatres.
Dhanush’s Kodi directed by R.S. Durai Senthilkumar, is a political thriller. Director Durai Senthil Kumar has earlier worked on two films for Dhanush’s production house, Kaakki Sattai and Ethir Neechal.
Dhanush’s dialogue in the Kodi trailer — “Naan porikkumpodhe double,” reveals that he plays dual roles — a first for Dhanush. Trisha and Anupama Parameswaran romance him onscreen. Director S.A. Chandrasekaran (actor Vijay’s father) plays a significant role. The supporting cast includes Saranya Ponvannan and Kali Venkat.
Kodi is produced by Vetrimaran. Santosh Narayanan has composed music and Venkatesh is the cinematographer.
