Malayalam director Pradeep Chokli returns with Chippy, a satire with children in the lead.

Chokli’s last film was Pedithondan (2014).

The story is about a group of schoolchildren who make a short film based on their lives.

“They are children from a primary government school and their film reflects their creativity,” said Chokli.

Often, it is believed that an elitist school can bring out the best in a child, and other schools are considered inferior. The film is a satire that shed light on today’s education system.

Chippy is supported by a cast that includes Srinda (playing a mother), National Award-winning actress Surabhi Menon, Salim Kumar, Shruthy Menon, Manikandan and Joy Mathews.

Chippy releases in Kerala on November 3
