The trailer of S.S. Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali: The Conclusion leaked online, just hours before its official launch on Thursday.
The trailer of the film’s Tamil version was leaked on social media, much to the surprise of the makers who plan to take legal action.
The two-minute-20-second trailer was originally planned to be launched online on Thursday evening.
Following the leak, the trailer of the film’s Malayalam, Hindi and Telugu version was officially released online.
In around 250-300 screens on Thursday, the trailer of the film’s Telugu version will be screened across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The film stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan.
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion will be digitally re-mastered in the immersive IMAX format and released in IMAX theatres in India on April 28.
It will be followed by release in select international markets, read a statement.
With the IMAX format, one can record and display images of far greater size and resolution.
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, releasing otherwise on April 14, is the thrilling continuation of the 2015 local box office hit Baahubali: The Beginning.
“A major factor for the wide appeal of the Baahubali films is the scale and immersive nature with which we designed and filmed them.
“So, it is very exciting that Baahubali 2: The Conclusion will be released in the IMAX format, which best showcases this and gives the viewer a great experience,” said Rajamouli.
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion marks the third Indian local language production to be released in IMAX. Earlier, Dhoom: 3 was released in the format.

Foster describes the film as “an ideal fit” for the IMAX experience.
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion picks up again with hero Shivudu (Prabhas) as he comes to terms with his legacy and the responsibility placed on him by this knowledge.
Shivudu’s quest aims to find the answer to the question that has been plaguing fans of the franchise: Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?
