Model turned actor Nabeel Khan has been missing in action for a while.
His last work, Love Mein Ghum, a feature film directed by actress Reema Khan, was six years ago. He hasn’t made any public appearance since, either on TV or films. Whereas just sometime back he was working with the best people in the business — stylist and makeup artist Nabila, ace ad film director Asim Reza, and many others.
Not that he had lost his charm; in fact, during this period he was approached for a role in Karan Johar’s Student of the Year — but turned it down because Khan was becoming more disenchanted with the ways of the entertainment industry. He was turning down small parts and rejecting offers where he was asked to let go of his remuneration.
The breaking point came when Khan was thrown out unceremoniously from leading producer Sohail Khan’s Shor Sharaba, months after he had been signed on. Today, as Shor… is ready for release, a disgruntled Khan has already moved on to his family business.
