She calls herself “the media darling,” but we all know that former queen bee Meera has courted controversy far more frequently than she has made movies.
Every time she trips on her angrezi (English) — which she does every single time! — the audience can’t stop rolling in the aisles.
Yes, we all think she shouldn’t be judged on her language skills, only on her acting abilities. But God knows she always comes roaring back with a priceless act or two that would put even her well wishers in an awkward spot.
For the longest time, “The Meera Jee” (her official twitter handle) has been talking about a film she wanted to produce. (This is apart from the charity hospital she’s long been muttering about).
She also announced its title: Oscar. Well, whereas we love her for her immense drive and ambition, we must say she went way over the top when she said that the film would definitely make it to the Oscars (the prestigious Academy Awards) once it is out. That the film never made it past the announcement stage is history.
