HUM TV recently celebrated its 13th anniversary with a special transmission of Jago Pakistan Jago, the channel’s flagship morning show, hosted by actor-turned-anchor Sanam Jung. The transmission, which unveiled the new look of the channel and raised the curtain on some of its upcoming mega projects such as De Ijazaat and Mah e Tamaam, brought together some of the most prominent faces of the drama industry, such as Bushra Ansari, Kubra Khan, Adnan Seddiqi, Imran Ashraf, and Yasir Hussain.
HUM TV is especially prized for its contribution to raising the bar for drama production in Pakistan, having created serials like Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Humsafar, Dastaan, Mann Mayal, and Udaari, whose popularity took their stars across the borders too. In recent years, its plays have tackled topics considered taboo, from child sexual abuse (Udaari) to incest (Dar Si Jati Hai Sila).
