Comedians Rohan Joshi and Ashish Shakya, who are a part of the AIB comedy group, will perform in Dubai at a 90-minute show on November 24 at Ductac as a part of Laugh-a-thonX series.

They will be joined by comedian Kunal Kamra, known for his quirky political commentary.

While the AIB comedians are performing after a sabbatical from stand-up comedy for two years, this will be Kamra’s first show in Dubai.

“It’s good to see that there is a small, yet thriving scene for comedians in Dubai, and it’s great to perform here after our mini sabbatical from stand-up,” said Shakya in a statement. Shakya is a humour columnist, TV writer, actor and stand-up comedian.

His AIB mate Joshi was also on the same page.

“I’m pretty excited to be back in Dubai for a stand-up show, especially Laugh-a-thonX because it has hosted some great names in the Indian comedy circuit. Actually, it’s been really interesting because the great thing about the stage and the comedy scene is that it doesn’t wait for you. And it’s nice to get on stage and be scared and fresh again,” said Joshi in a statement.

Kamra was eager to whet the response of the Dubai audience.

“I’m specifically looking forward to the response I get from the Dubai audience as most of my jokes come from general daily struggles and everyday problems we all face. It will be fun to see the reaction,” said Kamra.

Tickets cost Dh185, Dh350 and Dh500.
