Filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar has thanked the Abu Dhabi Air Force for the support they gave for the shooting his upcoming film Tiger Zinda Hai, and for felicitating him.

Zafar shared a photograph on his Twitter handle, where a UAE official is seen handing him with a trophy.

“Thank you Abu Dhabi Air Force for all the support for Tiger Zinda Hai and special felicitation,” Zafar captioned the image.

The Yash Raj Films (YRF) project is a sequel to the blockbuster film Ek Tha Tiger. It stars Salman Khan and actress Katrina Kaif in the lead.

Meanwhile, actor Angad Bedi who also stars in the film, tweeted about his experience filming with Khan in Abu Dhabi. Bedi, who is a new addition to the franchise, will be seen playing an agent in the film.

The actor says he will miss the film’s set and unit.

“Been a real pleasure to work under the guidance of Ali Abbas Zafar and YRF. It’s been real. The love and affection I have got from Salman Bhai (brother) and the moments spent with him I shall cherish for a lifetime,” he said in a statement.

The team of Tiger Zinda Hai was shooting in Abu Dhabi for a 65-day schedule from May 4 at multiple locations in the city, which is touted to be the UAE capital’s longest feature film project to date. A set was designed by several workers who helped build the set of the Hollywood film Star Wars in 2013, with the film boasting a 300-person production team.
