Some of Bollywood’s biggest stars turned up at the annual Star Screen Awards in Mumbai on Sunday night. The evening featured performances by Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit Nene, who performed with Varun Dhawan in a remixed version of the song Tamma Tamma.

Vidya Balan bagged the best actress award (critics) for Tumhari Sulu and Rajkummar Rao was named the best actor (critics) for Newton. He also won the best supporting actor award for Bareilly Ki Barfi.

Nitesh Tiwari was given the best director award for his Aamir Khan film Dangal. Neha Dhupia also bagged best supporting actor (female) for Tumhari Sulu.

Speaking at the event, Khan said he is happy to reunite with Katrina Kaif on screen after five years in their upcoming film Tiger Zinda Hai.

The duo, who has previously worked in movies such as Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya and Partner, will reprise their roles in the sequel to Ek Tha Tiger (2012).

When asked how it was to romance Kaif after a long time, Khan told reporters: “It is good. It is always good to romance. As there’s no fight, so it’s good to romance.”

Kaif recently appeared on Bigg Boss, which is hosted by Khan, to launch the film’s second song Dil Diyaan Gallan.

The 51-year-old star is happy audiences have enjoyed both the songs of the movie.

“Katrina was with me on Bigg Boss when she gave me this information that Swag Se Swagat has earned some 50 million likes. Now, we have launched a romantic song... Both the songs are nice and people are loving them. So, let’s see what happens on December 22 [the movie’s India release date] and what’s the destiny of the film,” he said.

Meanwhile, actor Tiger Shroff talked about working with Hrithik Roshan in an as-yet untitled movie.

Backed by Yash Raj Films, the upcoming film featuring the duo will be directed by Siddharth Anand.

“I am most excited about working with him. I am so thankful that I got such an offer so early in my life. He is my idol. Whatever I am today it is because of what I saw of him while growing up,” Shroff told reporters.

The action film, also starring Vaani Kapoor, is slated to release on December 25, 2019.

“I will have to prepare a lot. He [Roshan] is a very hard-working actor. So if he gives 100 per cent, I will have to give my 200-300 per cent to match up to him. But I know I would never be able to match up to him,” Shroff said.

Shroff will also be seen in Student of the Year 2, produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.

There were reports that Chunkey Pandey’s daughter Ananya would be making her Bollywood debut with the film.

“I have no idea about any of the cast members yet. The best persons [to ask] would be Karan Johar and [director] Punit Malhotra. They should make the announcement officially. We will be starting the shooting in January-February,” he said.
