Actor Shah Rukh Khan says Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Make In India campaign is his most significant initiative.
“Make In India is perhaps the most important initiative by our honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which propels companies in India and abroad to make things in our own country and our own land, thus creating job opportunities, skills enchantment,” said Khan at the launch of a book Movers & Makers.
“For me, the biggest turn on is the introduction of new technology, which I believe is going to create a new era for our generation and generations to come.”
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and BJP member Shaina N.C. were also present.
Khan had said in November last year that the Indian film industry also stands for Make In India, “since with our films, we were taking our culture, music across borders and spreading the word for what India stands for”.
The Make In India campaign intends to push Indian as well as international companies to manufacture their products in India.
