Bollywood actor Salman Khan Thursday requested the Mumbai High Court to grant him permission to travel to Dubai for the Arab Indo Bollywood Awards to be held on May 29 at Meydan Racecourse.

Khan who was granted bail earlier this month by the Mumbai High Court in 2002 hit-and-run-case had to submit his passport but could travel abroad on special permission. The decision for this will be announced next week.

Habeeb Rahman, managing director of Benchmark Events, the organisers of the show along with Al Bustan Group told tabloid! that they were “waiting for Salman” and from their end everything was in place.

“We are very positive that the court will grant permission,” Rahman said.

Karan Johar, Priyanka Chopra, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Dhawan, Parineeti Chopra are Neha Dhupia are among several stars are slated to perform at the show.
