Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan has continued its march at the box office in its third consecutive week while breaking various records. The Kabir Khan directorial has taken Rs2.94 billion (Dh166 million) and is racing towards the Rs3 billion mark.

Released on July 17, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which is about the bond shared by a Pakistani girl and an Indian man, also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Harshaali Malhotra.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh said the film has crossed the total collection of Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 and become the second highest grossing film ever in Hindi films.

“BajrangiBhaijaan crosses #Dhoom 3. Emerges second HIGHEST grosser (after #PK). Heading towards Rs.300 crore... Hindi films. India biz,” Adarsh added.

Aamir Khan film PK took more than Rs3.3 billion overall.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan has also done “fabulous” business overseas too.

The film had, up to Sunday, collected $ 23.5 million outside India.
