Salman Khan has sent a note through his lawyer to the National Commission For Women in Mumbai. But it’s not an apology.
Kha is due to appear on Wednesday before the Commission following his “raped woman” analogy.
Speaking to Indian news channel NDTV, Lalitha Kumaramangalam, the women’s rights body head, said that she has received a response from Khan’s lawyer.
Khan was condemned for comparing the harrowing schedule for his film Sultan to feeling “like a raped woman”.
“From the first prelude of the letter, he hasn’t apologised... I have been told by people who know him that he does not apologise,” said Kumaramangalam. While Kuramangalam wasn’t willing to divulge the details of the note sent by Khan’s lawyers, she added that action will be determined after she reviews the legal response from the actor.
