The much awaited sequel of 2008 musical drama Rock On will release in September next year.
Farhan Akhtar, 41, who will reprise his role as a musician in Rock On 2, said: “We will start shooting for the sequel in August this year and are planning to release the film sometime around September next year.”
Apart from Akhtar, the cast of the film includes Arjun Rampal and Shraddha Kapoor. This is the first time Kapoor will be seen opposite Bhaag Milkha Bhaag actor.
Kapoor, who made her singing debut with Ek Villian, will also lend her voice to the music of the film.
