Bollywood star Ranveer Singh gave his patient fans a treat at the opening of a jewellery store in Dubai on Tuesday night. Singh arrived to hundreds of screaming fans who had waited all evening outside the Kanz Jewels store in Bur Dubai to catch a glimpse of him — and he didn’t disappoint.

The star made his entry to the tune of Malhari, the song from his hit film Bajirao Mastani, but declined requests to dance saying his suit was too tight. He was then asked a few questions by the evening’s MCs.

In response to being asked about what he treasured the most in his life, Singh said: “My family, more than anything you know. They are really the only thing worth treasuring.”

The Q&A session was however cut short by the anticipating audience waiting to take pictures with him.

After meeting with winners of a contest, Singh seemed to want to spread the love and decided not to let the barricades stop his interaction with fans. In what seemed to be a surprise to everyone including the event planners, he got off the stage and walked along the barricades, greeting everyone who didn’t get a chance to be on stage with him. As the night progressed, his interaction with his fans only got better.

Then, following a quick ribbon-cutting ceremony, Singh headed inside the showroom with a hoard of people following him. Despite the rush, he did not let go of his professional demeanour and made it a point to take pictures with practically everyone who asked him for one, including the staff of the store. After completing a small tour of the store while being photographed at every point, he headed upstairs for even more pictures. He stayed for two hours before finally leaving the store.

“Ranveer created magic with his presence. We are happy to note that our entry into Meena Bazaar has been well received by our patrons,” said Anil Dhanak, the founder and managing director of Kanz Jewels.
