Actors Rajkummar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana and Kriti Sanon will star in director Ashwini Iyer Tiwari’s upcoming film Bareilly Ki Barfi.
Iyer Tiwari, who made her directorial debut earlier with year with Swara Bhaskar-featuring Nil Battey Sannata, revealed the news on her Twitter page.
“Excited, nervous 2 direct lovely @kritisanon @ayushmannk @RajkummarRao in a different story close to my #bareillykibarfi!” she tweeted.
Sanon, 26, retweeted her post and wrote, “Super excited to start this journey with you!”
The film is reportedly a romantic-comedy set in Uttar Pradesh.
This is the first time that the three young stars will be working together.
Rao, 31, expressed his excitement about the project and tweeted, “Here we go. #BareillykiBarfi. Exciting times ahead with @Ashwinyiyer @kritisanon @ayushmannk @JungleePictures #BRfilms looking forward.”
The movie is being produced by Junglee Pictures.
