Actress Priyanka Chopra has shown her support for a video about children with Down’s syndrome, saying that all children are special in their own way.

The video, Dear Maa, has a foreword narrated by actress Juhi Chawla.

“It’s a disservice to categorise them. Every single child is special in their own unique way. Do watch this,” Chopra, who supports Unicef’s work in the country, tweeted on Sunday.

The 32-year-old also posted the link of the three-and-half-minute video, which features the day-to-day life of children with the genetic disorder.

The video, which was posted on YouTube on May 7, has received close to 13,000 views.

In the beginning of the video, Chawla says: “Every year, in India, thousands of children afflicted with Down’s syndrome are aborted in the womb. The ones fortunate enough to be born are considered a burden by family and society. When, in fact, they are no less capable than a regular child.”
