Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, who has bought the theatrical rights of the Hindi version of southern filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning, says he backs only those movies that touch him.
The trailer of Baahubali was unveiled on Monday.
Talking about the factors he considers before lending support for a film, he said: “I’m a crazy child of Hindi films... watching them several times and I laugh, cry, sing, dance and get touched with the situations in the film.
“So when I read a script, I look for these same emotions as an audience. If a script touches me or entertains as an audience, I produce such films. I react to scripts not as a filmmaker but as a cinegoer.”
Johar said he loved latest movies Piku and Tanu Weds Manu Returns.
