Kangana Ranaut, who is known to speak her mind, has taken a dig at Hrithik Roshan after his father, Rakesh Roshan, defended him over his row with the Queen actress.

When asked about Rakesh’s comment, Ranaut replied, “Why can’t Indian men stand for themselves. He is a 43-year-old son. Why does he need his father to come for his rescue always? For how long they will keep hiding behind their influential big name fathers. He is an adult and he can pretty much handle his own controversies in show business. It’s just a simple controversy. Why do daddies have to always save their sons? I don’t understand this.”

The actress was speaking with media at the launch of Chetan Bhagat’s latest book, One Indian Girl, on Saturday.

Bhagat said, “The book has been written completely from a woman’s perspective and I interviewed around 100 women for writing it. This book will help men to understand their women better.”

Ranaut said, “I have read the book and it’s a very human take on a working woman. It’s lot more meaningful because its coming from a man. When I read it I was in tears because it sounded like a leaf out of my own book.”

“I am definitely playing the lead whenever you turn the book into a film,” she added.

Bhagat also talked about how his decision to become a househusband to help his writing career was looked down upon by members of his social circle.
