Amid controversy around the video spoof of melody queen Lata Mangeshkar and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar by comedian Tanmay Bhat, Bollywood actor John Abraham today said everybody on social media has become “brave” because of faceless identity.

“I don’t think anybody has any boundaries today on social media. Very honestly, I think there is nothing like honesty on the net in any case. All you guys have become so brave on the net because no one has a face today,” said Abraham.

When asked what he thought of the video, the Dhoom star evaded a direct reply but spoke about the situation on social media in general.

Abraham was speaking at the trailer launch of his upcoming film Dishoom. The film, directed by Rohit Dhawan, also stars Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Akshaye Khanna in the lead roles.

The actor feels it is “fantastic” to tackle faceless people on the internet.

“It’s fantastic to combat faceless people on the net. Congratulations to all those on the social media,” he said.

Dishoom is scheduled to release on July 28 in the UAE.
