Pernia Qureshi has a history with Bollywood. The dancer-turned-designer started her career creating costumes for the 2010 Bollywood film Aisha. Last year, she was the lead actress in the film Jaanisar.

But for the past three years, she’s been focused on running her online fashion store, PerniasPopUpShop.com. It started with three friends in a basement one day, and now houses more than 200 Indian designers.

“The actresses, a lot of them are my friends. They’re constantly taking trends, and tips and clothes from us,” she told tabloid! during her Dubai Shopping Festival visit.

She counts Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapoor, Jaqueline Fernandez and Sonakshi Sinha as some of her customers.

“I think it’s very easy, when you’re an actor and you’re on the go and you want something, to just quickly get it online. I know a lot of actors have an online shopping addiction, because they don’t get time to actually go to a shop,” said Qureshi.

As for her personal Bollywood style icon, it’s 28-year-old Kangana Ranaut.

“She’s like a style chameleon. One day, she will be dressed really hipster, and she’ll look great. And the next day, she’ll be dressed like Audrey Hepburn. Every time you see her, it’s a surprise,” she said.

“I like the fact that she really enjoys playing around with fashion, because a lot of Bollywood actresses are very safe. They’ll wear the same thing and they’re very conservative with taking chances. I think Kangana just doesn’t care — she’s just so open and ready to try new things.”

And for the rest of the population, Qureshi had a few tips on what to rock in 2016.

“The winged liner. When you’re an Indian classical dancer, you do a nice winged liner; now, Adele has made it really trendy,” she said. “Another thing is thigh-high boots, they’re so cool. Fringe, I love fringe. It’s just so much fun. Dancing with it is amazing.”
