Bollywood stars Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar have wished Indian soldiers on the occasion of Diwali.

The actors have joined the #Sandesh2Soldiers (Message to Soldiers) campaign started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging people to send their Diwali messages to the soldiers.

“This is a wonderful gesture. Our PM is absolutely right, the support of 125 crore [1.25 billion] Indians for our soldiers will fill them with love. Let us all join him in sending our messages. Love A [sic],” Aamir, 51, tweeted along with the link to Modi’s video message.

Salman, 50, also shared the same clip and captioned it, “A very happy Diwali to Indian soldiers from my side.”

Kumar joined the club and tweeted a video where he is seen wishing the Indian Army.

“The best way to celebrate a festival is with your loved ones and the good luck of spending festivals with our families is because of you. Without even knowing us, you love us and keep us safe.

“I dedicate this Diwali to all the soldiers. We are because of you. This was my message to the soldiers,” the actor said in the video.
