After his fleeting appearances in new Bengali film Posto and 2014’s Bollywood movie Mr Joe B Carvalho, singer-politician Babul Supriyo says he enjoys working in films irrespective of his screen time.

The 46-year-old singer believes that his sincerity and honesty have opened new doors for him.

“One life one chance — this is my philosophy. Things you love to get, you aspire to do will come to you one day for sure if you are honest and sincere. You need not go for asking.

“In fact I never asked for any roles. And these film roles came my way and I loved portraying in them — whether they were big or small,” said Su[riyo at the premiere of Posto in Kolkata.

The singer has a small appearance in the movie, which talks about co-parenting and is directed by Shiboprosad Mukhopadhyay and Nandita Roy.

“I feel happy to be part of such a film themed on a serious issue which talks about the role of grandparents in shaping the life of a child,” he said.

The film, which released last Friday, also features Argha Basu Roy, Mimi Chakraborty, Jisshu U Sengupta and Soumitra Chatterjee.
