Acclaimed musician AR Rahman will stage a concert at Bollywood Parks on January 26, 2018, to coincide with the Indian Republic Day.
The concert, titled The Journey: Celebrating Music, will feature leading Bollywood singers Benny Dayal, Javed Ali, Mohini Dey and Neeti Mohan. More names will be announced closer to the date.
Rahman, who has won an Oscar and a Grammy for his Slumdog Millionaire score, also released a documentary on his life earlier this year, titled One Heart: The AR Rahman Concert Film. He returned to Dubai in October to host a special concert at the Burj Park for the music release of director Shankar’s Rajnikanth-starrer, 2.0.
Tickets for his January concert start at Dh150 and are now on sale, with a limited early bird promotion featuring a one-on-one free ticket. Those holding tickets of a certain category can win a chance to meet Rahman as well.
On the concert day, gates open at 6pm with the concert starting at 9.30pm.
