Actress Anushka Sharma will not be part of the promotional activities for her upcoming film Dil Dhadakne Do at the IPL final in Kolkata on Sunday after falling ill.

The 27-year-old actress, who has had back-to-back releases including NH10 and Bombay Velvet, is exhausted and has been advised to rest by her doctors.

“Anushka has taken ill suddenly after completing her film promotions [on Sunday] and has been advised by the doctor to rest completely for a day or two as she is exhausted and is showing signs of effects of heat, so that she can resume the promotional activities soon. She regrets she will not be able to travel to Kolkata as planned due to this,” a statement read.

The cast of Dil Dhadakne Do, including Farhan Akhtar, Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, director Zoya Akhtar and producer Ritesh Sidhwani, are in Kolkata to kick start the promotions of the film, which will release in the UAE on June 4.
