Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh on Sunday praised Dil Dhadakne Do (DDD) co-star and former flame Anushka Sharma for her growth as an actress and as a person.
“It was fantastic working with her in Dil Dhadakne Do. She has evolved as an actor and person. It was wonderful to work with her after a few years. We did our first few films together. She taught me a lot,” Singh said in Kolkata during the film’s promotion.
The duo were seen in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl and Band Baaja Baaraat.
Sharma, who is currently dating Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, was however, missing from the Kolkata leg of the promotional campaign.
Quizzed on whether he was missing her, Singh gave a guarded response.
“I am missing the entire starcast: Priyanka [Chopra], Shefali [Shah] and others. However, it’s a boys’ night out,” he said, referring to Anil Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar’s presence at the event.
DDD is set to release on June 5 in India.
