Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor, who plays the patriarch of a dysfunctional Punjabi family in the upcoming film Dil Dhadakne Do (DDD), said the movie is a world-class project.

“It is a family film. It is a Zoya Akhtar film so it has a distinct style. It is a film which you can easily say is world-standard,” the 58-year-old veteran said in Kolkata on Sunday while promoting the film.

The film also features Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra, Shefali Shah, Farhan Akhtar and Anushka Sharma.

Set for a June 4 release in the UAE, DDD also has another character — a dog named Pluto.

“Pluto is the real hero of the film. We all make up the ensemble around him. He is the real rockstar,” said Kapoor, the father of actress Sonam Kapoor.

Talking about his role, the Slumdog Millionaire actor said people will notice a difference in his look.

“I am tired of people asking me about there being no difference over the ages. In this film you will notice the difference and this is why I did the film. You will see the difference and you will be proud of it,” said Kapoor who sports a salt and pepper hairstyle in the film.
