The Bachchans of Bollywood turned hosts for a star-studded Diwali party on Sunday, which saw several movie celebrities — all dressed in ethnic wear — in attendance.

While Jaya Bachchan decided to break the monotony by wearing a green and red salwar-kurta, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were all clad in off-white and white Indian outfits.

Amitabh dedicated the festival of lights to Indian soldiers.

“A light for them that sacrifice their lives for us,” he posted on Twitter, along with photographs from the party.

The party was attended by guests such as Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Ranbir Kapoor, Kabir Khan, Vidya Balan, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Katrina Kaif, Mika Singh, Mukesh and Neeta Ambani, and Tiger Shroff, among others, as seen in photographs captured and posted on social media by Bipasha Bas and Karan Singh Grover.

Others present were Sonu Sood, Shraddha Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Amrita Arora, Aditi Rao Hydari, Rajkumar Santoshi, Aftab Shivdasani, Bhavana and Chunkey Pandey, Kirron Kher, Dia Mirza, Prasoon Joshi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Neha Dhupia and Remo D’souza.

Johar posted images on Instagram, where he is seen posing with Dutt, Basu, designer Rocky Star, and party hosts Abhishek and Aishwarya.

“Thank you so much Abhishek, Ash, Mr Bachchan and Jaya ji for being such awesome hosts! We had a blast,” Johar captioned the image.

Fashion designer Manish Malhotra shared a photograph with Aishwarya and captioned it: “With the very beautiful Ashwariya Rai in M Malhotra world. Fun, Diwali, celebrations [sic].”
