Alia Bhatt has come a long way after starting her acting career in 2012 with Student of the Year. Now the Udta Punjab actress says she wants to work all over the world.
“I want to do films all over. Well, London is my next destination because I am going there for a holiday but then hopefully Hollywood will be my next destination soon,” Bhatt said over the phone from Mumbai.
Bhatt has won critical acclaim for her role in Udta Punjab, in which she plays a Bihari migrant worker sucked into the drug trade in Punjab.
The actress and daughter of veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt currently has a packed schedule. Udta Punjab marks her second release this year after Kapoor & Sons.
Her future projects include Shhuddhi, Badrinath Ki Dulhania and director Gauri Shinde’s as-yet-untitled film.
Asked if finding a balance between her personal and professional life is tough, Bhatt said it is “difficult”.
“It is all work and very little play but I do try to take out time for myself... like now I have managed to take time out and go for a holiday,” she added.
Udta Punjab, which also stars Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh, is currently out in the UAE.
