Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar calls his Airlift co-star, Nimrat Kaur, an international actress. The movie features him as a wealthy businessman, and Kaur plays his wife. “Nimrat did her job so well in the movie so, I call her an international actress. There are scenes that she did with so much of emotion and passion, especially the climax scene. She is an amazing actress,” Kumar said about The Lunchbox actress who also featured in American TV series Homeland.
Talking about the gap between projects — she worked on The Lunchbox in 2013 and on Airlift this year — Kaur said: “I was busy shooting for Homeland for one-and-a-half years. That took a lot of time. And when I came back ... sometimes what happens is you are waiting to start working, but the script doesn’t come at the right time.
“So, it is a matter of chance. It’s not like I planned for a two-year gap.”
Next, the actress will take on a-yet-to-be titled film by Saurabh Shukla.
