Chinese professional boxer Zou Shiming and American basketball player Stephon Marbury promoted the Indian sports drama Dangal with its lead actor Aamir Khan in Beijing on Wednesday.

Zou loved the trailer of the film so much that he attended a press conference for the film. He made Khan recite a poem in Chinese. The actor, not to be left behind, helped him learn a dialogue from Dangal, the film’s spokesperson said in a statement.

At a special promotional event for the movie, Marbury gifted Khan an autographed basketball and in return, Khan gifted him an autographed Dangal T-shirt.

Khan, a popular Bollywood face in China, was in the country along with the film’s director, Nitesh Tiwari, to attend the China premiere of the hit on April 16.

After Beijing, they will go to Shanghai and Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province.

Dangal has made more than Rs3.85 million at the Indian box office.

It is an inspirational story of former Indian wrestler Mahavir Phogat, who trained his daughters Geeta and Babita to become world-class wrestlers.
