TV drama in Pakistan continues to explore diverse themes and fresh (read taboo) subjects. If last year’s Udaari, which dealt with the serious topic of child molestation, and 2016’s Kitni Girhain Baaki Hain that hinted at a relationship between its two female leads, broke the ground for more daring projects to come, today we are rooting for IDream Entertainment’s next, titled Be Dardi where a newly married couple discovers they are suffering from Aids.
Starring Aiman Khan and Affan Waheed, two of the youngest and busiest TV drama artists today, Be Dardi is penned by Shagufta Bhatti and directed by Ahmad Bhatti whose previous credits include Qurbaan and Ghairat, both very strong, women-centric serials.
The rest of the cast includes Bushra Ansari, Behroze Sabzwari, Sana Fakhar, and Kashif Mahmoud.
Its OST is composed by Waqar Ali and sung by Ahmad Jahanzeb.
