Mahira Khan’s next film after Verna, titled Saat Din Mohabbat In, boasts an ensemble cast. A joint production of Dawn Films and IMGC, directed by Meenu-Farjad, the film went into production earlier this year with Khan and her co-star from 2016 blockbuster Ho Mann Jahan, Shehryar Munawwar, along with debutant Mira Sethi.

Soon model and actress Amna Ilyas came on board as well. Ilyas earlier worked with the director duo on their first feature, Zinda Bhaag (2013), which won critical acclaim and also became Pakistan’s official entry to the Academy Awards’ category of Best Film in a Foreign Language.

Now, we hear that Ayesha Omar has also been roped in for an important part. This will be Omar’s fifth cinematic outing — that is, if we count her blink-and-you-miss appearance in Main Hoon Shahid Afridi (2013) and the in-the-works Rehbra. A model, singer, host, and actor, Omar is all this and more — she is considered a youth icon, and was recently crowned the most stylish TV personality at an awards event. She is also a qualified painter.

The supporting cast of Saat Din… is also worth a mention. It includes veteran Jawed Shaikh, Pakistan’s only crossover actor who has had a chance to work in a number of big-banner films in Bollywood — such as Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om, Vipul Shah’s Namastey London, and more recently, Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha.

Saat Din… is said to be a romantic comedy about a young man’s quest for true love. Khan has already gone on record to say that her character — named Neeli — is full of fun, and a complete departure from what she has played on screen before.

The latest to join team Saat Din… is Hina Dilpazeer, one of the most popular comediennes Pakistan TV has got today. Interestingly, both Diplazeer and Omar are best loved for their roles in the cult sitcom Bulbulay, which enters its eighth consecutive year running on ARY Digital. Aamir Qureshi and Adnan Shah Tipu make up the rest of the cast.
