Rock star Ali Azmat performed at a Pakistan Day Concert at a Lahore mall with more than 30,000 people in attendance on Saturday.‎

The concert at the Emporium Mall was held in celebration of the Pakistan Day Sale that began on March 20 and concluded on Sunday. Families gathered at the mall to enjoy different activities and to watch the musician perform hits such as Garaj Baras, Na Re Na, Yar Bina and Jazba Junoon amongst others.

The news was announced by the musician on his social media accounts where he invited all Lahore residents to come join him in the celebration. The concert took place at the main atrium of the mall between 7-9pm.‎

Azmat is best known as the lead singer for the Sufi rock band Junoon and for his subsequent solo career. In 2001, he became the first musician to perform at the United Nations General Assembly along with an Indian band choosing to sing his song Dosti (Friendship), an aptly chosen title to promote the UN’s mission in bringing peace to the world.
