Deepika Padukone, who lashed out at Indian English language daily Times of India on Sunday for publishing a gallery of cleavage-baring photos, has found ample support among her peers, including Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Bollywood heavy-hitter Karan Johar, as well as her fans. Many congratulated her for not letting the matter slide. They also lambasted the newspaper for their seemingly flippant response to Padukone’s tweets.

On Sunday, the Finding Fanny actress took to Twitter to rebuke Times of India’s entertainment portal with a barrage of tweets such as “YES!I am a Woman.I have breasts AND a cleavage! You got a problem!!?? [sic]”.

The news organisation responded by calling their raunchy web gallery a “compliment” and that they had taken it upon themselves to show the world her cleavage: “@deepikapadukone, It’s a compliment! You look so great that we want to make sure everyone knew! :) [sic].”
