Food and lifestyle channel Fatafeat is launching a new reality show that will focus on perspective young brides trying to please their future mothers-in-law.

To premiere on September 22, the show will see celebrities Sawsan Badr, Hala Sedki and Rania Yousuf play judges and ‘chief mothers-in-law’ who will put 12 potential young brides through their paces with a set of rigorous and light-hearted challenges designed to prepare them for married life.

Each episode, the 12 contestants, selected from across the Arab world, will face a challenge designed to test their suitability to become marriage material — from keeping a clean house and managing unruly children, to de-feathering chickens and even milking a cow. The contestants will compete for the ultimate prize: the house of their dreams.

“The Mother-in-Law Bootcamp brings the highs and lows of domestic drama to reality television,” said Nahla Elmallawany, head of content at Discovery Networks Mena. “Preparing for married life is a universal experience — whether you are the young bride trying to impress your future in-laws, or a mother who must give way to a new woman in your son’s life, it is something many of us will face in our lives. This show offers a fun and educational look into what can be one of the most stressful moments in a woman’s life, with added star power thanks to judges Hala Sedky, Rania Yousuf and Sawsan Badr, to ensure there is plenty of drama and entertainment along the way.”

The show premieres at 10pm UAE on Fatafeat available with beIN packages.
