Lebanese pop star Myriam Fares will be the first performer in a series of concerts to take place at Dragon Mart 2 this autumn.

Fares will play at the mall on October 14, at a concert that will also feature meet-and-greets with the singer and an onstage interview.

Concerts will take place at the mall, located near International City on the road to Hatta, every two weeks, in a partnership with Platinum Records. Other artists were not announced, but all are expected to be Arab. Other Platinum Records artists include Mohammad Assaf, Carmen Soliman, Abdelfatah Grini, Hala Turk, Dounia Batma, Ziad Khoury, Jamila and Ahmed Gamal.

“We are very excited to have partnered with Dragon Mart 2 for this eclectic series to bring something brand new to Dubai and connect artists to their fans in a different way. We look forward to many exciting surprises,” said the record label head Taymoor Marmarchi in a statement on Tuesday.

Omar Khoory, Director of Nakheel Malls, owner of Dragon Mart 2, said: “We are delighted to host what promises to be a superb line-up of celebrities as part of our ongoing series of live events and entertainment at Dragon Mart 2.”
