Dubai: Finally the rumours can be put to rest. It’s official; Bruno Mars is coming to Dubai on his first Middle Eastern gig on April 12.

The American singer-songwriter, who dominated much of the global music charts in 2011 and 2012 with massive hits such as ‘Just the Way You Are’, ‘Billionaire’, ‘Nothin’ on You’ and ‘Grenade’ will perform at the 14,000 capacity Dubai Media City Amphitheatre.

Mars, who only released his second album ‘Unorthodox Jukebox’ in December last year, has sold more than 45 million singles worldwide with his debut 2010 album ‘Doo-Wops & Hooligans’ going platinum in various countries many times over.

He’s brought to the UAE by the Dubai-based Done Events, the guys behind high profile concerts including Jennifer Lopez, Usher and Katy Perry last year and the sold-out Justin Bieber concert in May.

Tickets, from Dh295, go on sale on Thursday at 12pm at www.brunomars.ae. Done Events added in a statement that they will to be announcing a support artist in the coming weeks.
