A syrupy marriage proposal and "I love you" chants awaited Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan on Saturday as he met hundreds of fans thronging BurJuman. "Under the circumstances, I don't think it's such a great idea," said Khan as a swooning female fan hollered her matrimonial offer.

While the women were taking in the sight of the Agent Vinod star, the men had just one question: "Where is Kareena? [Kapoor, his girlfriend and co-star of Agent Vinod]?".

"Kareena is filming in Mumbai so she couldn't be with us," said Khan, who launched an aggressive marketing campaign in Dubai.

Even his 90-minute delay was forgiven and forgotten as he acquainted his fans with Agent Vinod.

"Who is Agent Vinod? is a good question. He's an enigma of sorts. He's sharp, intelligent and an agent whom you will enjoy watching immensely."

With an impeccable lineage, Khan — the son of late legendary cricketer Mansour Ali Khan Pataudi and actress Sharmila Tagore — also had his fans jot down March 23 in their calendars.

"Agent Vinod will arrive in the theatres on March 23, be sure to watch it," said Khan referring to its release dates in India.

And going by the deafening roars, his command is likely to be obeyed.
