Who will be the UAE’s next top fashion designer? A project launched by Vogue Italia and The Dubai Mall will scout for aspiring designers in the country for the next edition of Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience.
The event, held in October last year, saw top-notch celebrities including supermodel Naomi Campell attend a fashion show by pre-screened regional designers at the mall.
Called The Dubai Mall – Vogue Talent, the initiative will screen applicants, with selected names given mentorship programmes and their works showcased at the next Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience later this year. Luxury online fashion outlet BySymphony will curate the designs.
“Dubai today is the must-be place for the global fashion industry. The city serves as the hub for talent across the region to attract international attention through Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience. Our global talent scouting competition, aimed at young designers, will further elevate the city’s credentials in the fashion industry,” said Franca Sozzani, editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia.
