The rare pieces of Arab and Iranian art that will go under the hammer include a pre-revolution bronze sculpture from Iranian artist Parviz Tanavoli's acclaimed Walls of Iran series, three masterpieces by Egyptian artist Mahmoud Said, several important works by Egypt's Wanly brothers, Seif and Adham,
and an early work by Iraq's most respected artist, Dia Azzawi.

Syrian artist Fateh Moudarres, Iran's Charles Hossein Zenderoudi and Farhad Moshiri, Libyan Ali Omar Ermes and Lebanese artist Paul Guiragossian are also represented by exceptional pieces.

Another highlight of the sale is a monumental work by Ahmad Moustafa, whose Quranic Polyptych fetched the highest recorded price for an Arab artist at Christie's last auction in the city.
