Olivia Palermo’s shoes
The US socialite and owner of the best closet on the Upper West Side has collaborated with Italian brand Aquazzura to create a shoe “survival pack” capsule collection. Five pieces will be available at Level Shoe District this month. Palermo worked with Columbian designer Edgardo Osorio to create a range to fit all needs in a woman’s wardrobe — with inspiration coming after the pair spent time disecting her own closet. Pieces include over the knee suede boots, jewel sandals (inspired by one of Olivia’s vintage Victorian necklaces), metallic leather sandals and this suede and snake pump.

Handbag design course
Head to the stylish Vida Hotel in Downtown this autumn and get in touch with your creative side. That’s where the London College of Fashion will be hosting its annual short courses this year, including a creative and practical course in handbag design. It’s open to both professionals and handbag lovers, and will teach prospective designers to know their market, develop design ideas and manufacturing. The tutor is accessories designer Ann Saunders, of Laura Ashley and the Arcadia Group, and the course runs October 8-20. Recycle your Armani Jeans
