Hot Stuff: A stylish start to the weekend
What to wear, where to buy it
As we’re seemingly <ital> constantly <ital> on the hunt for that perfect little dress, we’re over the moon about the UAE launch of Dannii Minogue’s Project D collection of colourful and classic dresses next month. The range, which she co-creates with her friend, fashion designer Tabitha Somerset Webb, is inspired by vintage shapes and in their words, produces “gracefully feminine and effortlessly wearable dresses” that work with, not against, women’s curves. The range will be stocked at Boutique 1 stores from October, and we hear the Australia’s Got Talent judge will be heading to the UAE to talk up the collection at the end of the month -- so she’ll probably be travelling with her sis Kylie, who performs in Abu Dhabi on November 2. Check out our favourites.

Marc Jacobs new perfume
“I don’t think there is ever a wrong time for a polka dot.” And with that, the trend-making designer launches his latest fragrance, simply titled Dot, a floral and fruity mix of red berries, dragonfruit, honeysuckle, coconut water and orange blossom. The perfume, from his own range, has a bottle designed by graphic artist Sayuri Shoji, but we can’t help thinking that Jacobs has gone simply dotty -- his latest collection for Louis Vuitton, where he is creative director, is also completely polka, and involved a collaboration with dot-crazy Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. The eau de parfum is Dh340 (50ml) and Dh450 (100ml).
