Celebrated Indian designer and stylist Manish Malhotra, who is on the speed-dial of many a Bollywood A-lister, is at the ongoing Doha Tribeca Film Festival doing his core work — popularising Indianwear.

"That's what I do best. I am so happy to be here because these Arab stars carry Indianwear so beautifully. I am working on actors such as Youssra, Dalia [Al Bahairi] and Dora [Zarruk]. It has been a fantastic experience so far," said Malhotra over the phone from Doha.

Hopping straight to Qatar after glamming up Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor for the world premiere of Ra.One in Dubai on Monday, the Mumbai-based Malhotra said that his role didn't end with providing stylish ensembles.

"It's not just the clothes that I provide, I give them tips on their hair and make-up. And I know that if I style them right, they will automatically popularise Indian garments," Malhotra said. Apart from styling Indian celebrities such as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee, Malhotra has worked with Hollywood stars including Reese Witherspoon for Vanity Fair. He's busy styling Kareena Kapoor for Heroine, in which he has been given what's said to be one of the biggest costume design budgets in Bollywood history. He is stocked at Studio 8 in Dubai.
