Amy Jackson painted a perfect picture of fusion when she sashayed down the ramp at Lakme Fashion Week.

"It's my debut at Lakme Fashion Week. I had butterflies in my stomach before walking the ramp," said the British actress-model. "I was a little nervous but once I walked the ramp, I felt like a princess," Jackson, who made her Bollywood debut with Ekk Deewana Tha.

She walked for designer Bhairavi Jaikishan on Saturday. Jaikishan's collection was a colourful bridal range embellished with sequins and crystals. There was also prominent use of gold and silver zari embroidery.

Describing Jackson's attire, the designer said: "It's a blend of a lehenga and a sari. The bottom of the attire is cut like a lehenga, but it's a sari."

"It wasn't very heavy," she said.

The designer showcased a traditional collection of saris emphasising more on light shades including pista green, pink, blue and yellow. Her fashion line was called Sensuous Woman.

"My main aim in designing the clothes is that whenever people wear my clothes, they should feel like a princess and that's my philosophy in design," she said.
