The Daily Show With Trevor Noah will air live on the final nights of the Republican and Democratic national conventions this month.

The episodes will be broadcast on July 21 from the Breen Center for the Performing Arts in Cleveland and on July 28 at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, respectively.

The move will enable The Daily Show to be the first late-night program to respond to the acceptance speeches by presumptive nominees Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert will air live on all four nights of both events (July 18 to 21 and July 25 to 28) but will do so from the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City.

Both shows, known for their topical bent, are attempting to break out in an increasingly competitive late-night field.

In addition to the live episodes and on-the-ground coverage throughout both events, The Daily Show also has hourlong clip specials planned for Monday night of each convention week.
